Arts and Crafts Mission Slag Chandelier

Offered is this authentic Arts and Crafts Mission Slag Glass Lamp from the early part of the 20th Century, all original glass and copper. This lamp is made of hammered copper and iron, and has Monk's heads on each side of the main lamp. It is a gorgeous, heavy chandelier; I have never seen another like it. It is almost medieval in appearance, very strong and heavy. The body of the chandelier is made of hand-hammered copper with an iron chain. The decorative Monks have their mouths open with the tongue sticking out and they appear to be made of bronze. The slag glass is caramel and is a rough glass. There are numbers under the chandelier. It is 14 inches long and 21 inches across and weighs approximately 45 pounds. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is some rust on the glass holders, but no pitting. The monks are in perfect condition. It has its original wiring, so does need to be rewired for safety. This is an incredible, unusual chandelier, one that would look perfect in a strong Arts and Crafts decor.
