Offered is this gorgeous 1820s - 1830s Drop Leaf Table by a New York maker with rope twist legs. This table is a wonderful example of early 1800s American furniture, with gorgeous care and attention to detail. The rope twist legs suggest a New York maker; the top board is one wide board of mahogany, which did not exist after the mid 1800s. The ribbon mahogany is incredible. There is gorgeous inlay around the drawer and it is all in wonderful condition. The table drops down to 25 1/4 wide with 12 1/2 leafs on each side. It is 39 inches long and 29 inches tall. The holds for the leaves are properly chamfered for the time period and there is a drawer on one end. Its condition is excellent; it has been properly restored and French polished. This is an opportunity to purchase investment furniture at a close to wholesale price. The value of this table will only increase, and you get to enjoy the beauty and history of it as its value climbs.
