Victorian Ram's Head Bench Stool
(Item: 0315)
Offered is this hand-carved Victorian bench or vanity stool, hand-carved in the 1860s, found at a Warren County, New York estate. It was made by a great-great grandfather of the woman selling it; he had been a locally well-known furniture maker in Warren County. It is a fabulous piece, in absolutely perfect condition!!
The bench has 4 ram's heads carved on the arms of the bench and each foot is a carved hoof. It has a white upholstery, with nail head accents. It can be recovered very easily; I would put a deep red fabric on it. It is made of walnut and is not now polished, but you can have it french polished is you so desire. It is a real stunner, very unique and noticeable!
It measures 37 inches wide, 13 2/4 inches deep and is 26 inches tall. The seat height is 18 inches. This can be seen at my shop in Hudson, NY - stop by to see all of my new items!
