ORIGINAL FINISH GUSTAV STICKLEY PEDESTAL TABLE WITH 4 LEAVES
This Gustav Stickley oak table with its original finish is a real find! Bought from an estate in the Hudson Valley, New York, this Split Pedestal table with 4 leaves is in its original finish and in excellent condition with its original red Gustav Stickley brand under the pedestal. It has not been restored or refinished at all. It has the warm ammonia-fumed oak, with the added patina of time. A rich, medium brown color, it will add warmth and beauty to your home!
When closed, the table is round, 48 inches across. When two leaves are added, the table is 72 inches long, and the pedestal can remain together or split apart. When all four leaves are in, the pedestal splits apart to give added support and the table measures 96 inches long. The craftsmanship is superb and obviously done by a master.
The condition is excellent with only minimum scratching on the main part of the table, not noticeable at all. There is a small piece of veneer missing on the side under lip of the table, only noticeable if you bend over and look. I did nothing to this table – no lemon oil, scratch guard or anything else. The leaves are a bit darker in color, because they were probably not used as often as the original table and were kept in storage. All of the mechanical parts are working well, and the table sits on original castors.
I love this table and regret having to sell it – I want to put it in my house! I enjoy spending many hours and traveling many miles to bring furniture of this quality to on-line shoppers – quality usually only found at high end antique shops and premier antiques shows in the larger cities. I priced this table at what I thought was a fair price, considering its original finish and excellent condition. I hope that you think so too.
